Selfie Contest Winners!

Thank you to EVERYONE for your participation. This was NOT an easy contest to judge. So difficult in fact that we have decided to award 2 “runner up” awards as well. There are instructions for the winners at the end of this post on how to collect your prize!

Introducing the Hideout Magazine’s self portrait contest winners!

1st prize goes to Aaron Norton with his image: “Lemon-y Little Jack Horner”. A brilliantly executed conceptual self portrait. Cheers Aaron!

2nd prize goes to Katelyn Demidow for her entry: “Hippie Soul” This image told a great story and is a timeless classic. Awesome lens flare too

3rd place award goes to Corrie Traxler for her image: ” :X” Composition, mood, intensity and nice color pop on the eye makeup bringing focus right into the windows of the soul!

I put all the rest of the entries into a hat (yeah…I worked it old skool LOL)…and our random lucky winner is: Lauren Wainwright!

You will all receive 1 week as the Featured Photographer on The Hideout Magazine! When your week is over, your images will be moved over to the Hideout Facebook page in an album with links to your portfolio(s). Your Featured Photographer page will then be archived on the blog with a viewable link at the bottom of the page.

Farewell Forum…Meet me at the Hideout Magazine!

During the 2 years that The Hideout Forum has been operating, there have been some amazing evolutions. Within this community, I have experienced great leaps in my personal and professional growth. The friends I have made and the feedback I have received has made me feel I’m part of a family. I want to let you know of some changes to The Hideout: some good, and some sad. My continuing goal is to provide a safe, comfortable and fun space for photographers to learn, grow and share!
